We believe it’s researcher’s role to propose an efficient and effective co-benefit technology for the treatment of liquid waste in developing countries. We are conducting the researches on the system of decentralized wastewater treatment including Johkasou and constructed wetland systems at the community level.
From the experience in Japan, we are aware the system to prove the performance of decentralized wastewater plant is essential to operate the plant effectively and environmental friendly. To be able to ensure the quality of decentralized wastewater treatment, we also assist in the harmonization of the technical/performance standards of decentralized wastewater treatment plants in the Asian region, especially in the developing countries.
Currently, we are also actively involved in the making of inventory for greenhouse gas emission to support Indonesian national and local government, partnering with Ministry of Environment Japan, JICA and private companies.
