Due to rapid increase in municipal solid waste generation in major Ａsian cities in line with drastic increase in population, it is time to start considering installation of incineration plants in the cities for reducing the volume of municipal solid waste to be disposed of at landfill sites.
To identify the applicability of local municipal solid waste to the incineration, it is necessary to confirm whether proximate composition of the waste is suitable for the incineration.
Proximate composition refers to the proportion of moisture, volatile and ash contents in the waste.
